#18 from HW #19

Does anyone know how to do this problem? I looked at the solutions and they used an integrating factor? Can someone explain this to me? Thank you.

Lots of typos in my first comment

I am totally perplexed with a- the answer for it seems to defy mathmatical logic.

But using the answer given for a, for b,
-8=-10+C at t=0, so C=2. x(t), then is =-10e^4t+2e^10t

For c, differentiate it and set it equal to zero. Then graph it and find where it intersects. But a is still confusing
