Well I can tell you what the problem is. The HW was made using Microsoft Word 2007. Microsoft Word 2007 saves document in a new file extension (.docx). Word 2007 documents are not compatible with Word 2003 or anything earlier than 2007.
Solution would be to IM someone that does have Word 2007, ask them to save it as ".pdf" or ".doc", then let them send it to you.

Sorry guys! I must've clicked the docx file to upload instead of the pdf file. I've changed it to the pdf file already.
