Max/Min

How are you guys doing with the max/min problems? I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to prepare any notes for you. I would've done some examples with you in class; but I didn't even have time to write them up, much less make the copies.
I think, if memory serves me right, there's a pretty tricky one with the girl rowing to the pier/walking along the shore?! What do you think about that one?

Hey Mrs. Carlson,
I think the max/min problems were okay. I think I got the with that girl rowing to the pier. We didn't have a math teacher yesterday, so I think that the homework is going to take some time. On the summer assignment, I don't know how to do number 91. Every time I try to do it, I get it wrong. Could you help me? Thanks!

Aah. Speed is the absolute value of the velocity. So graph the absolute value of x'(t) to find the maximum point.
